Vision is crucial...

To promote and facilitate an attitude amongst Christians which will enable them to steer clear of sexually erotic material and thus escape the moral trap which is inherent in the use of pornography.

We are resources for the Christian church, especially Christian leadership, to assist in dealing with the difficult dilemmas encountered as the result of involvement with  sexually explicit material.  We maintain both a preemptive and a restorative focus: 

Preemptive in that we provide both education and materials to encourage and equip individuals to steer clear of the destruction which awaits those who allow sexually explicit material to permeate their lives. 

Restorative in that we provide consultation, counseling and materials to assist individuals families and churches to become involved in a process which will lead back to spiritual wholeness and personal holiness.

Mission is the driving force...

To tell the story of the impact of sexually provocative material on our Christian culture.

To challenge the existing tolerant view of erotica which has invasively permeated our lives

To preempt the impact of our sexually erotic culture upon Christian leadership in particular and Christian society in general.

To take a proactive stance in restoration of those individuals who have endangered their spiritual lives and/or their Christian vocation by entering the slippery slope to moral failure which erotica presents.

We want to help stop the loss of talent and
preserve the treasures we have in Christian leadership
by warning of the dangers of the influence of erotica,
presenting the challenge and providing the necessary tools
to help leaders to steer clear,
and providing help towards restoration
for the fallen leader who is repentant.

Faith keeps us in truth...

We believe in one God, Creator and Lord, existing in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man, that he died on the cross to redeem us from the guilt and penalty of sin, and that he rose bodily from the grave to guarantee eternal life to all who repent and believe.

We believe eternal salvation requires a personal acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord. On acceptance of Christ the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the believer as counselor and guide, providing the power to live as Christ’s ambassador.

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God without error in all that it affirms. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the divine and final authority in matters of doctrine and Christian living.

The defining biblical foundation and message of Tuff Stuff Ministries and The Steering Clear Experience is four-fold:
       Remember, Experience, Purify, and Satisfy.

Remember who you are:
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9"

Experience God's refining love.
"...God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." - Romans 5:5b

Purify yourself out of reverence for Christ.
"Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself,
just as He is pure." -1 John 3:3

Satisfy yourself with God's goodness.
"For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." -Psalm 107:9
